The rules have changed and the stakes are higher for nonprofit board members than ever before. If you or your clients serve on nonprofit boards, or you expect to, this conversation will clarify the essential duties of a board member, define fiduciary responsibility and highlight some common "blind spots" of board members that can lead to trouble for the board and the organization.
